Heading
This website website refresh for Carioca Bowls focused on capturing the energy, warmth, and community that defined the brand for over a decade in Portland. The project combined visual storytelling with functional improvements to create a seamless experience both online and in store. Bright, tropical imagery highlighted the brand’s vibrant atmosphere while showcasing whole food ingredients and fresh açaí bowls. At the same time, the website and ordering flow were rebuilt to support ease, speed, and clarity. The result was a cohesive digital and physical experience that reflected Carioca Bowls’ values while making it easier than ever for customers to order, connect, and return.
Our Strategy
Challenge
The challenge was to align Carioca Bowls’ strong in store identity with a digital experience that matched its energy and efficiency. The existing setup made online ordering and catering less intuitive than it needed to be. The brand required a system that showcased its vibrant food and community while also simplifying how customers placed orders. The goal was to improve usability, reduce friction, and ensure the backend supported the same quality and care reflected in the physical space.
Goal
The goal was to create a system that supported growth without sacrificing personality. The updated site and photography reinforced Carioca Bowls’ community driven identity, while the improved ordering infrastructure removed friction for both customers and staff. By aligning visual storytelling with functional design, the brand was able to offer a smoother ordering experience, increase catering accessibility, and strengthen its presence as a go to destination for fresh, high quality food in Portland.
Solution
The solution combined visual storytelling with backend optimization. A refreshed website and photo library captured the bright, tropical feel of the brand, while Square Online was fully configured to streamline ordering. Online pickup and catering flows were built to be clear and efficient, reducing steps and confusion for customers. Catering options were organized for quick selection, making larger orders easier to place. Together, the frontend visuals and backend structure worked seamlessly to improve both experience and conversion.
